LOCATION: Stanislaus County (Modesto, Riverbank, Empire, Hughson, Patterson, Newman, CA)
COMPENSATION: $15.00 per hour / 32 hours per week

JOB DESCRIPTION: CNC Action Fund seeks individuals who want to work as paid door-to-door canvassers and phone bankers to encourage participation in the November 6 general election. We have prioritized engaging new voters to participate in opportunities to improve the lives of underserved communities. We will hire a team of 10 canvassers in order to reach a critical mass of voters in these areas of Stanislaus County.
These positions start on Monday, October 8, 2018 and will conclude on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
IDEAL CANDIDATES SHOULD:
- Have a car (preferred but we will consider people without cars)
- Be bilingual, fluent in English as well as Spanish or Hmong (preferred, not required)
- Have experience talking to voters, phone banking, or going door to door.
- Be able to walk door to door for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Be punctual, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Be self-motivated
- Be able to work the schedule outlined below
WORK HOURS: (subject to change)
- Monday through Thursday 3pm to 8pm;
- Saturday: 9 am to 3 pm
- Sunday: 1 pm to 7 pm.
NOTE: Phone banker/canvasser shall comply with all state and federal that guide the activities of not for profit corporations. Communities for a New California has the right to withhold any future payments under this agreement in the event that it has any reason to believe that the phone banker/canvasser has not complied with applicable laws.
